Batmaaaan!

Hey friends, I've been notoriously bad at using this awesome site built by my buddy Frederick but I have some cool updates to share!

I recently had the opportunity to submit two one-page stories to an upcoming anthology from Eight Ball Small Press titled, "Please Don't Sue Me, Batman." I wanted to show the different sides of Batman that have influenced me, so the stories are tonally different from one another, both writing and art-wise.

In honor of Batman Day here are my two submissions:

"Bat Soup" was drawn and lettered by my friend and Superguy collaborator Joey Murphy. It's heavily inspired by the silver age and Adam West's portrayal of Batman and features a villain we created called The Alphabet Man. It's extremely goofy and has a lot of the same vibes as our ongoing superhero comedy series Superguy.

"The Boy and the Bat" was created with another artist pal of mine from Ireland Billy Lahiff. It's a more serious take on the character focused on a Young Bruce Wayne and Alfred that's very much inspired by Frank Miller.

Get you a man that could do both.

And in other exciting news I'll be tabling at the Indie Comics Creator Con in Rhode Island next week on Saturday, Sept. 26th! I'll have copies of the newest issue of Superguy on hand plus the newly printed deluxe edition and some copies of our original prints of issue #1 (plus some other cool goodies like prints and stickers)

I'll also be at NYCC all 4 days (not tabling) but was lucky enough to get a pro pass for the second year in a row so you can catch me walking around there (mostly Artist Alley). Let's hand and talk comics!
